University Book Store to celebrate faculty, staff and students
University Book Store will be hosting We (heart) U: Our Campus Thank You Celebration on Wednesday, May 11. Its the eighth annual celebration of current University of Washington students, faculty, and staff. Participating locations include the University District and Bothell (9 a.m.-8 p.m.), Tacoma (9 a.m. -6 p.m.), the HUB (at Odegaard) (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), Medical Branch (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), and Husky Central (10 a.m.-6 p.m.).
“We are excited to welcome you to We (heart) U: Our Campus Thank You Celebration,” said University Book Store CEO Bryan Pearce. “This is by far the most important event we hold each year, because it is our opportunity to thank and celebrate you, our UW student, faculty and staff family, for being such great customers and supporters of our store. We will be throwing quite a party, complete with giveaways, prizes, games, entertainment, special product promotions, additional merchandise discounts throughout the store, and much, much more. Its an experience you wont soon forget. We look forward to seeing you!”
All current UW students, staff, and faculty are invited to save 20 percent store wide (some restrictions apply), and are invited to enter to win gift baskets and prizes.
The University location celebration will also feature prize drawings for iPads, a Toshiba 37 inch LCD HD TV, a Sony 15 inch widescreen laptop, CS5 Master Collections 30 day trials, and CS5 Design Premium copies, an Ogio Long Board and a $50 Gift Card. There will be a Husky shopping spree and a Supply shopping spree sponsored by JanSport; a Food Truck giveaway with free treats from Parfait Ice Cream, Marination Mobile, Cupcake Royale, and Skillet; a Kinnect gaming event; Adobe Frisbees and pens; a photobooth; and a smart phone scavenger hunt. The Cafe fireside features a DJ sponsored by Skullcandy—send in your song requests to the book store Facebook page—and enjoy free samples in the Cafe. Music and Food Trucks start at 4 p.m.
All winners must be over 18, and have a valid University of Washington ID, and winners at the University Location must be present to win. More information is available online.
