The UW Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Bands will perform works by several composers in a concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 25, in Meany Hall.

The Wind Ensemble, conducted by Erin Bodnar, Gary Brattin and Vu Nguyen, will play Ecstatic Waters by Steven Bryant, J’ai été au bal by Donald Grantham and Hammersmith by Gustav Holst.

The Symphonic Bands, conducted by Steven Morrison and Alison Farley, will play Sketches on a Tudor Psalm by Fisher Tull, A Solemn Music by Virgil Thomson and Commando March by Samuel Barber; and Postcard by Frank Tichelli.

Steven Morrison is the Donald E. Petersen Endowed Fellow, associate professor and chair Music Education in the UW School of Music. Vu Nguyen is a graduate teaching assistant for the schools wind band program. Erin Bodnar is in her first year of study and Gary Brattin in his third, for a doctorate in instrumental conducting. Alison Farley is in her second year with the UW Marching Band and concert bands.
