Interim President Phyllis Wise will hold a town hall meeting for the UW community at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, in 130 Kane. The meeting will be webcast live on UWTV.org.

Wises focus will be on the budget challenge that the University is facing. “I want to reassure all of you that the processes we will use will be transparent and that everyone will have an opportunity to stay informed and involved,” Wise wrote in an email to the campus. She said she will begin the session with a brief presentation and then open the floor to questions.

“I hope you will join me and participate in this important discussion,” Wise wrote. “Public higher education in our state is clearly at a crossroads. The decisions being made now will put us on a path that will not only carry us through the next few years, but will impact our children—and our childrens children—for years to come. I invite you to have your say in those decisions.”
