Brian Baird to discuss science policies and Congress

Former U.S. Representative Brian Baird will lead a seminar from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in A118 Physics/Astronomy. The topic is What Feynman, Kuhn and Popper Could Teach Congress and Vice-Versa.

At the seminar, Baird will discuss the ways in which science is incorporated at the congressional level, and the challenges of science policies in congress.

The seminar is sponsored by the Forum on Science, Ethics and Policy, a multidisciplinary group of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows hosted by the Graduate School who are interested in the impact of science in our world.
