Washington womens basketball live on UWTV this season

The Husky womens basketball team takes on some of the Pac-10s best at Hec Edmundson Pavilion this year and basketball fans can now watch the action live on UWTV, presented by The Seattle Times.

The womens basketball series on UWTV will cover the six remaining home games (two were already broadcast, on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2), which is the entire Pac-10 home schedule, except the Jan. 30 game versus Washington State. The live broadcast game dates are as follows: Jan. 14 (Stanford), Jan. 16 (California), Feb. 3 (Oregon), Feb. 5 (Oregon State), Feb. 17 (Arizona State), and Feb. 19 (Arizona).

“The state of Washington does an outstanding job of supporting womens athletics,” said head coach Tia Jackson. “The opportunity to have our Husky womens basketball home games on UWTV during the PAC-10 conference is a wonderful way for Husky fans to see our competitive conference, our ‘blue collar style of play, and our exceptional teamwork.”

Additionally, the games will be replayed on UWTV as time permits. See the full schedule.

Commentator Dan Giuliani will call home games for UWTV, along with former UW women’s basketball letter winner, Sara Mosiman.

In addition to statewide distribution on Comcast channel 27 and Broadstripe Cable, UWTV is available as a live feed nationally via satellite – further extending UWs exposure by providing press conference feeds and highlights to national over-the-air and cable news outlets.
