UW Gospel Choir to perform at Meany Hall Nov. 29

The sounds of gospel music will fill Meany Hall when the UW Gospel Choir performs there at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29.

Byrdwell is minister of music at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Seattle and a music educator for Lakeside School. A UW School of Music Alumna with bachelors and masters degrees in music education, she was inducted into the Washington Music Educators Association’s Hall of Fame in 2002 and serves on the Seattle Symphony Board of Directors.

Byrdwell said the choir will be joined by a liturgical dance team from Mount Zion on two of the pieces, Total Praise and The Soulful Hallelujah Chorus.
