Gwendolyn Shaw on American artists.
An associate professor of American art at the University of Pennsylvania, Shaw also holds the American art history professorship at the UW School of Art this fall. Her lecture is titled Nascent: Raphaelle Peale, Sargent Johnson and the problem of Artistic Identity.
