Bulbs galore at the Arboretum’s Fall Bulb & Plant Sale

The Arboretum Foundation’s annual Fall Bulb and Plant sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at Washington Park Arboretum’s Graham Visitors Center, 2300 Arboretum Drive East.

Hundreds of varieties of daffodils, tulips, crocuses, irises, and more will be available. Along with garden favorites, shoppers will find many rare, unusual, and heirloom varieties, plus bulbs for forcing indoors. In addition, close to a dozen specialty nurseries will be present at the Sunday event, selling companion plants such as ferns, perennials, and shrubs.

Arboretum members may shop early at the member pre-sale, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, Both the pre-sale and the Monday sale are “bulbs only.” However, a wide array of herbaceous and woody plants will be available from the Arboretum’s Pat Calvert Greenhouse and Plant Donations Nursery over the course of the event.
