Violist Susan Gulkis Assadi to lead master class April 17
Susan Gulkis Assadi, principal violist with the Seattle Symphony, will lead a master class with students of faculty violist Melia Watras at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 17, in Brechemin Auditorium. The class is free and open to the public.
Assadi enjoys a varied career as an orchestral player, chamber musician, soloist, and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music in 1988 from The Curtis Institute. Before assuming her current position with the Seattle Symphony in 1992, she served as principal violist of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra.
