Graduate School to offer workshop on succeeding in graduate education Jan. 30

The UW Graduate School will offer “Nuts and Bolts: How to Successfully Navigate the Graduate School,”  the first in a series of interactive workshops for international graduate students from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in HUB 209.

The workshops will address what UW international graduate students have said are the most important academic issues for success. The information will include:

  • An overview of U.S. graduate education — explaining the process of graduate studies.
  • A “roadmap” for international students — how to earn a graduate degree — with helpful real-life tips from fellow graduate students.
  • An overview/discussion of resources in the Graduate School, your college, and department.
  • A snapshot profile of UW international graduate students.
