Postdocs show their work at 4th annual research symposium Nov. 14 in the HUB
The Fourth Annual UW Postdoctoral Association Research Symposium will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in 108 HUB. The keynote speaker is Sara Curran, associate director of the Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology.
The purpose of the symposium is to showcase the important contributions of postdoctoral researchers to the UW’s overall research mission. Six postdoctoral fellows will discuss their research. The topics are:
- About Prevention Against Obesity
- Effect of Controlling Response Bias on the Detection of Performance of Infants and Adults
- Multitalker: An Artificially Intelligent Tutoring System for Helping Student Groups in a 3D Virtual Environment
- Genetic Determinants of Self-Recognition in the Bacterium “Proteus mirabilis”
- Weighing the Neutrino
- Ethnic Invisibility: A Comparison of First- and Third-Person Measures of Race and Ethnic Identities in Washington State
