Lorie Wild named UWMC chief nursing officer

Lorie Wild has been appointed chief nursing officer of UW Medical Center. She previously served as interim chief nursing officer.

Wild joined UWMC in 1984 as a clinical nurse specialist. She was appointed director of Patient Care Services, Professional Practice and Research in 2000, and interim chief nursing officer in September 2006, when Susan Grant left the position to relocate to Georgia.

Wild’s appointment comes after a national search.

“After reviewing many external candidates Lorie was selected as our candidate of choice,” UWMC Executive Director Stephen Zieniewicz said. “I wish to thank the search committee and all involved with Lorie’s selection for their diligence in support of this process which has been lengthy and comprehensive.”
