LCVI Day set for Feb. 6

Find out what the Leadership, Community and Values Initiative is all about and how you can help to change our workplace culture at LCVI Day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the HUB East Ballroom and other meeting rooms.

The day of activities and information, under the theme “Discover All That’s Within Your Reach,” is being presented by the LCVI and Professional & Organizational Development, to display the wide variety of resources the UW has available and what you can do to change our workplace for the better.

You can connect with colleagues and participate in workshops that will highlight each of the four areas of LCVI — leadership, diversity, career development and recognition. Drop in on a workshop to pick up valuable tips you can share with your colleagues. Topics cover coaching, mentoring, career development, building leadership skills, diversity on campus and the recognition of peers and employees. Workshops will have a managerial or employee emphasis, but will be open to everyone.

Laptops also will be on hand to enable visitors to voice their opinions in the 2008 UW Climate Survey.

Oh, and there will be door prizes, too, including UW World Series tickets, a gift certificate to a POD course, passes to the Seattle Art Museum and a lot more.
