Belcea String Quartet plays Meany Jan. 23

The Belcea String Quartet will make its debut at Meany Hall in a performance at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23. London-based but having toured internationally, the quartet has a wide-ranging repertoire that ranges from Beethoven and Schubert to Bartók and Dvorák, as well as newly commissioned works and collaborations. 


The performance is sponsored by the UW World Series. Tickets are $33 ($30 for subscribers, $20 for students) and are available from the UW Arts Ticket Office, 206-543-4880, or online at http://www.uwworldseries.org.  


Ticket holders are invited to come early to learn more about the quartet and the program at a free pre-show lecture 45 minutes prior to curtain in the Meany Hall west lobby.
