International students show their heritage at CulturalFest on Nov. 7

The diversity of the UW student body will be on display at the The Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS) CulturalFest, 3:30-7:30 p.m. Wedmesday, Nov. 7, in the HUB Ballroom.

CulturalFest is an annual showcase of the internationalism on campus and is produced by the FIUTS student board. UW international students from many countries will teach others about their cultures through interactive booths, displays, and performances. Each booth may display arts and crafts, photographs, maps, textiles or music. Later in the program, students will perform both traditional and modern music and dance from their countries.

CulturalFest is open to the public, and children are welcome. K12 students can pick up a CulturalFest “passport” with activities and information related to each country. CulturalFest is a wonderful way to learn about the world’s cultural diversity. For more information, call 206-543-0735 or visit www.fiuts.org/culturalfest.
