MFA show to open at the Henry

There will be a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 25 for artists in the UW School of Art’s annual Master of Fine Arts exhibition in the Henry Gallery. The show includes work in ceramics, painting, metals, photography, sculpture and design.

Throughout their graduate program, students have worked with faculty advisers and other artists to develop advanced techniques, discuss critical issues and emerge with a vision and direction for their own work. Pieces in the exhibition are selected by the students and their thesis committees, with curatorial assistance from Jim Rittimann, Henry gallery head preparator and exhibition designer.

The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibition runs through June 17.
