Minority affairs candidates to speak
The Search Advisory Committee on the Vice President for Minority Affairs and Vice Provost for Diversity has announced that the two final candidates for the position will be giving public presentations to the campus the week of May 14. Both candidates will speak on the diversity topic of their choice.
Final candidate John Baugh, currently the Margaret Bush Wilson Professor in Arts & Sciences and director of African and African American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, will be speaking at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 in HUB 209A. His presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period and an open reception featuring light refreshments in 200C HUB.
Final candidate Sheila Edwards Lange, currently the interim vice president and vice provost for minority affairs and diversity at the UW, will be speaking at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at in the Bank of America Executive Education Center’s Douglas Forum. Her presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period and an open reception featuring light refreshments in the Bank of America Executive Education Center’s Seminar Room.
