Karina Walters to give Samuel E. Kelly Lecture April 26

Karina L. Walters, William B. and Ruth Gerberding endowed professor in the School of Social Work, will present the Samuel E. Kelly Lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26 in the Ethnic Cultural Theatre. The talk is titled, From Dis-Placement to Dis-Ease: Embodiment and Expression of Historical Trauma among Indigenous Women.


Named in honor of Samuel E. Kelly, the first vice president of minority affairs at the UW (1970), the lecture showcases nationally recognized faculty research on diversity and social justice.
