Katterman Lecture: Profitability & Pharmacy Revolution, April 28
The 28th Annual School of Pharmacy’s Katterman Lecture, Profitability and the Pharmacy Revolution: Keys to Profitability in Traditional Pharmacy Practice and the Growing Clinical Services Sector, will be presented Saturday, April 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in T-435, Health Sciences Center.
Learn how changes in Medicare D has prompted an increase in value-added services in local pharmacies and how these services are improving the patient experience and business owners bottom-line. Whether you are a pharmacist or other health care worker, you’ll want to learn of these important trends in our health care system.
Speakers include Dale Christensen, professor of pharmaceutical policy and evaluative sciences at the University of North Carolina and affiliate professor at UW School of Pharmacy, and Steve LeFeber, chairman and founder of Business Resource Services, Inc.
Christensen has been developing and evaluating pharmacist medication therapy management services for over 15 years with Medicaid agencies in Washington and North Carolina. Christensen, “Father of the Asheville Project,” will discuss how Pharmaceutical Care/MTM Services can be incorporated into current pharmacy practice.
Steve LeFever, chairman and founder of Business Resource Services, Inc, is a highly knowledgeable and entertaining presenter with an extensive business background and a solid understanding of the health science industry and the challenges today’s business owners and health care workers face.
