Can’t see as well as you used to?

The Refractive Surgery Center at UW Medical Center-Roosevelt is one of the nation’s leading providers of vision correction services.

The center offers state-of-the-art care for patients with nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia (changes in the eye related to aging), as well as corneal disorders and cataracts.

Corrective surgeries offered at the center include laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK), laser-assisted supepithelial keratectomy (LASEK), excimer laser photo-refractive keratectomy (PRK), excimer laser photo-therapuetic keratectomy (PTK), clear lens exchange (CLE), and micro-incision cataract surgery. The center has the latest technology in lens implant options.

Dr. Tueng Shen is the director and primary surgeon of the center. She specializes in refractive surgery, medical and surgical management of corneal disorders and cataract surgeries.
