Homecoming week kicks off with Dawg Dash

Homecoming activities kick off this weekend on campus. Beginning with the 21st Annual Dawg Dash and culminating in the Homecoming football game between the Huskies and Arizona State, Homecoming 2006 runs from Oct. 22-29 and is packed with Husky spirit and rousing activities.

The centerpiece is the Homecoming Rally, in which Husky fans from all over converge on Red Square on Friday night, Oct. 27. This year’s rally will be emceed by KJR-AM radio personality Dave “Softy” Mahler. It will feature food, fun giveaways, the announcement of the Homecoming Court, the introduction of the Dawg Dash winners, performances by the Husky Marching Band and Cheer Squad and a pep talk from Coach Tyrone Willingham.
