Women of Color Reception planned March 1

Women’s History Month at the UW begins with the third annual Women of Color Reception, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 in the Walker-Ames Room, Kane.

This year’s reception is centered on Women’s “Herstory” Month — the concept that awareness is spread through the sharing of each others’ stories. As many women of color’s stories often go untold, this reception is a time to network and spread the knowledge. The gathering will feature a keynote address by Nancy ‘Rusty’ Barceló, Vice President, Office of Minority Affairs and Vice Provost for Diversity, artistic displays, networking, and light refreshments.

Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to attend. For more information, please contact Jeneé Jahn at 206-221-3241 or ecc@u.washington.edu.
