Technology in classrooms is topic of roundtable

A roundtable on technology in traditional classrooms will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 in 202 Communications. Instructors — from the tech curious to the tech savvy — are invited to this discussion on integrating technology into course and assignment design in traditional classrooms. Tim Welsh, a graduate student in English and assistant director of the Computer Integrated Courses Program, and Melanie Kill, a doctoral candidate in English and assistant director of the Expository Writing Program, will present an overview of resources available to UW students and instructors, talk about how they each use technology in various courses, and facilitate a discussion focusing on practical and effective uses of technology in teaching and collaborative learning. Come with questions and experiences to share. For further information, see http://students.washington.edu/pedagogy/
