HUB Open House slated Jan. 18
On Wednesday, Jan. 18, the HUB will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event promotes the services of Student Activities & Union Facilities and other units housed in the HUB.
ASUW entities including Rainy Dawg Radio and the Diversity Commissions will have tables in the first floor hallway. And the Student Activities Office is hosting a student organization fair in HUB 108.
In the first floor Lounge, ASUW Experimental College instructors will demonstrate material from their classes. The Clinique counter of the University Bookstore will have product demonstrations and a gift with purchase. Coupons will be distributed for the HUB Games Area, HUB Newsstand, ASUW Bike Shop, Student Legal Services, and Scissor’s Edge.
On the ground floor, the HUB Games Area is sponsoring free video games such as Dance Dance Revolution.
Giveaways will be available throughout the HUB. And to have a chance for bigger prizes, get a HUB bingo card and have it stamped as you visit the various areas. UW students, faculty and staff who submit stamped bingo cards by 5 p.m., Jan. 18 are eligible for prizes, including an Odwalla snowboard, an Apple iPod Nano, an XBOX, and a $50 Visa gift card. The drawing for door prizes will be held at 3 p.m., Jan. 20.
