MEDIA ADVISORY: President of Ireland to speak Tuesday on Europe-America relations

WHO: Mary McAleese, president of Ireland.


WHAT: An address on “Ireland, Europe and the United States.”


WHEN: Tuesday (May 24), 7 p.m.


WHERE: Kane Hall 130, UW Seattle campus.


DETAILS: McAleese, Ireland’s head of state since 1997, will be making her first visit to Seattle. Her hourlong campus address will focus on the European Union, Ireland, and their relations with the United States. A limited number of news-media seats will be set aside, but security will be heavy and journalists should arrive at least 45 minutes early. The event is sponsored by the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies.
