Lieberman and Friends concert to feature Bottom Line Duo

The Bottom Line Duo, made up of husband-and-wife team Spencer and Traci Hoveskeland, will be the featured guests for the Barry Lieberman and Friends concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in Brechemin Auditorium.

Performing on double bass and cello, the duo will present a diverse program of music spanning three centuries and eight countries. The music ranges from Richard Rogers’ Blue Moon and a movement of the Bach Brandenberg Concerto in G to David Popper’s Hungarian Rhapsody and several original works by Spencer Hoveskeland.

The Hoveskelands were born 28 days apart in a small logging and fishing village nestled between the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. They met as freshmen in high school, where they were principal cellists of different orchestras. Spencer now plays bass, and the two have been performing as the Bottom Line Duo since 1996.

Tickets to the concert are $12, $10 for students and seniors, and are available at the door.
