UW Bothell selects Student Ambassadors

Three new University of Washington, Bothell Student Ambassadors have been selected for the 2004-05 academic year.

Yelena Radostovets is in her senior year in the Business program, with a focus on Finance and participated in the Service and Activities Fee (SAF) Committee last year. Yelena received the Woodinville Rotary Club, Jerry Wilmot, Business Scholarship and the Benedict John Driscoll Scholarship. Yelena also worked in Student Affairs during the academic year.

Craig Murphy is also a senior in the Business program, with a concentration in Finance. He helped to form the UW Bothell Entrepreneurs Network, and served as the Business program’s Student Ambassador last academic year. Craig was awarded the Boeing Company Business Administration Scholarship for 2003-2004.

Leart Zherka is a senior in the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences (IAS) program with an emphasis in Global Studies. He escaped war-torn Kosovo at the age of 16. Leart represented Peninsula Community College as a Student Representative and as student body Vice President. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the college honor society.

UW Bothell’s Student Ambassadors provide the student perspective at community events. They are responsive, build on student-to-community connections, and support recruitment and public outreach efforts. These students show exceptional enthusiasm toward education and their experiences at UW Bothell.
