UW Bothell names new Education Program director

Susan Douglas Franzosa has accepted the position of director and professor of education at the University of Washington, Bothell.

She will also collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate curriculum and field experiences and to nurture partnerships with area schools. In addition, she will develop and teach a limited number of courses in the fifth-year Teacher Certification Program and the Master of Education Program.

Franzosa comes to the UW Bothell from the University of New Hampshire where her most recent position was director of the UNH Women’s Studies Program. She has held various administrative positions including the UNH Interim vice president for academic affairs, director of the UNH Unit for Professionals in Education, and chair of the Department of Education. She has also served as the director of the UNH Study Abroad Program at Regent’s College in London.
