Teach-In Friday on health disparities

The Center for the Advancement of Health Disparities Research, based in the School of Nursing’s Department of Psychosocial and Community Health, is holding a Spring Institute and Teach-In this Thursday and Friday, May 20 and 21.

The center is a partnership with the School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Faculty and students will be coming from Manoa for the programs.

On Thursday, the Institute will have two sessions, one on “Academic-Community Partnerships: Keeping Rigor and Relationships in Research” and the other on “Tackling the Complexity of Health Disparities Research.” Thursday sessions are in room T-661 of the Health Sciences Center.

On Friday afternoon, May 21, the second annual Teach-In on Health Disparities will include presentations and an open discussion period. That program will also be in room T-661 of the Health Sciences Center.
