McNair scholars to present research at spring conference

The McNair Scholars/Early Identification Program and Graduate Opportunities and Minority Achievement Program Spring Conference will be held Friday and Saturday, April 30 and May 1, at the South Campus Center. The theme is “Re-Search: Engaging Diverse Perspectives in a Changing World.”

The conference will again be filled with students’ original research given in talks and poster presentations. Additionally, McNair scholars from neighboring universities (e.g., Central Washington, Eastern Washington and Boise State) will present their original research.

The keynote speaker for lunch on Friday will be Ana Mari Cauce, professor and chair of the Psychology Department. On Saturday, UW graduate students will conduct graduate education workshops.

There will also be a Graduate School Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in Mary Gates Commons.
