Learning sciences conference set for Oct. 23–26

The UW will play host to the fifth International Conference of the Learning Sciences Oct. 23–26.


The interdisciplinary meeting will bring together researchers from around the world who study a variety of topics associated with human learning, cognition and development. Specific topics include science and mathematics learning, the design of learning environments, educational technology, school reform and teacher learning.


The conference, hosted by the Cognitive Studies in Education program and the Program for Educational Transformation Through Technology, is chaired by Reed Stevens and Philip Bell, assistant professors in the College of Education.
