The public is invited to the second annual Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Conference

The University of Washington School of Medicine is inviting the public to attend the Second Annual Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 12, on the UW main campus. The event is intended for patients with prostate cancer and their families and loved ones, as well as men at risk for prostate cancer and people interested in the disease.

Topics to be addressed in special workshops and conference sessions include advances in surgical and radiological treatment, treatment of localized prostate cancer, spousal issues and concerns and the current role of chemotherapy in prostate cancer. The role of genomics and family studies will be examined, and participants will also learn about nutritional and complementary approaches to treatment.
