Summer teen volunteer opportunities available at Harborview Medical Center

Seattle — Harborview Medical Center is looking for motivated and responsible teen volunteers, ages 14-18 years for its Summer Teen Volunteer Program. Summer teen volunteers will volunteer a minimum of four hours per week for the nine week summer session, June 28 to August 23, 2002.

Harborview offers teen volunteers opportunities to interact with health care professionals and volunteers with diverse cultural backgrounds and skills. Students studying a specific area often have the opportunity to gain unique skills and knowledge. They may also develop a variety of business skills, such as customer service, retail merchandising, accounting, and clerical.

Volunteers are vital to the success of Harborview’s dynamic programs and services. Find out how to become a summer teen volunteer by calling Harborview’s Volunteer Services at (206) 731-3547 or go to the website: hmcvol@u.washington.edu

Harborview Medical Center is the region’s only Level I pediatric and adult trauma center and one of the country’s leading regional medical centers.
