Faculty Senate to consider two Class B measures

The Faculty Senate will meet at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 in 301 Gowen. On the agenda are two Class B actions:



Class B action on honorary degrees, from the Faculty Council on University Relations and found at http://www.washington.edu/faculty/facsenate/senate/legislation/classb/honorary.htm.


Class B action on undergraduate admissions, from the Faculty Council on Academic Standards and found at http://www.washington.edu/faculty/facsenate/senate/legislation/classb/admissions.htm.

The Senate will be asked to approve or reject changes in the Faculty Handbook called for in the actions. If approved, the legislation will be submitted to the faculty for review.


Also on the agenda is the approval of nominees for faculty councils and committees..


The Senate Executive Committee will summarize its discussion of the report from the Special Committee on Institutional Responsibilities in Courses with teaching assistants, and candidates for vice-chair of the senate will give their statements.
