High-tech telecommunications executive joins international business advisory board

Jeri Wait, president of global markets and co-founder of the telecommunications company edge2net, has been appointed to the University of Washington Business School’s International Business Advisory Council.

Business School Dean Yash Gupta made the appointment.

Wait’s Kirkland-based company provides international carriers, internet service providers and emerging telecommunication companies with Internet protocol and switched voice, data and web-based products and services primarily focused on Asian markets.

The council advises the university’s Center for International Business Education and Research. Founded in 1991, the program sponsors global educational initiatives including the annual Global Business Challenge.

Wait graduated from the UW Business School in 1989 with an MBA degree. She lives on Mercer Island.
