High-tech investment banker joins UW international business advisory board


Michael Sherry, president and co-founder of Seattle’s Convergent Technology Capital, has been appointed to the University of Washington’s International Business Advisory Council.

The appointment was made by Yash Gupta, dean of the Business School.

The council advises the university’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), sponsors of global educational initiatives including an annual business-plan competition that attracts students from at least a dozen countries.

Sherry is a specialist in merger and acquisition advisory work, strategic partnering and investments. His practice focuses on computer software and services, Internet-related companies and communication technology.

Sherry earned both his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and his MBA from the University of Washington.
