Nebula Tips and Tricks
If you are having problems with your machine, a restart is the first thing to try. If your system won't let you shut it down via the Ctrl-Alt-Del -- Shutdown method, you can manually turn it off. Press and hold the power button on the computer itself; six seconds ought to do it. After it shuts off, you can restart it with the same button. (If you're unsure of the button, look for your CD tray; there should be a round button nearby.)
