Where Netscape Navigator used Bookmarks, Internet Explorer (IE) uses Favorites. However, they are implemented differently, and therefore Favorites have some unique properties. Favorites are special kinds of shortcuts, and are integrated throughout Windows. This allows them to be used by applications other than your web browser. In Nebula, you can use Favorites from Windows Explorer and Office 97.
For example, when you use the File then Open command in any Office 97 application, you'll notice some folder icons toward the top of the window, to the right of the browseable folder tree.

The icons outlined in red above are related to IE.
The first icon launches the default search page in IE.
The second icon opens your current list of Favorites. This allows you to define default folders and files to quickly open them from Office 97 applications.
The third icon allows you to select a file or folder and add it to your list of Favorites.
Once you start accumulating Favorites, you may wish to move them around, or arrange them into folders.
There are two ways to organize: using the contextual menu via the right mouse button on the desktop or in Windows Explorer, or by using the IE menu for Favorites-Organize Favorites.
If you click on an icon for a Favorite with your right mouse button, you'll see a popup list of choices for actions you can perform on the icon.
In this case, right-clicking on an icon in the Favorites
folder presents us with a variety of choices, including:

Similar manipulation of your Favorites is possible from within IE. There is an IE menu choice called Favorites which has a submenu called Organize Favorites, used precisely for this purpose.
Once you choose this menu item, you'll be presented with a box displaying your existing Favorites, as well as any folders you may have created in your Favorites collection. There are two folders created by default, called Links and Software Updates.
You can see the choices available here are similar to those
in the contextual menu. You can select a Favorite, then click
the Move, Rename, or Delete buttons
to arrange shortcuts as you prefer. If you hold down the
CTRL key while clicking to select a Favorite, you
will be able to select more than one at a time.
Also note it's possible to use the right mouse button inside this window to get another contextual menu, which allows you to create new folders quickly.
We've added a utility called Bookmark Converter which allows you to convert your Netscape bookmarks to Internet Explorer Favorites.
Here's how it works:
Once you've completed this process, you should have a folder in your Internet Explorer Favorites list called Imported Bookmarks. You can then choose Favorites then Organize Favorites from Internet Explorer to move, copy or delete your Favorites as you prefer.
