Graduate Statistics

Location MEDEX Northwest has traditionally focused on sending well trained health care providers to sites in the WWAMI region and other western states. The great majority of MEDEX Northwest graduates are working in Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho, as well as Nevada, Oregon, and California.

Job Satisfaction The survey inquired into personal job satisfaction, revealing that MEDEX Northwest graduates are generally happy with their jobs. Graduates who are most satisfied in their careers are those who feel rewarded by their work, who get along well with their physician colleagues, and who believe that their salary packages reflect their skills and expertise.

Service In keeping with the mission, many graduates thought their work was having a positive impact on the less fortunate.

Challenges Many PAs watch as paperwork eats into valuable patient-care time. Practitioners cannot ignore administrative duties, no matter where they work--whether in family practice or surgery. In addition, many graduates find multiple insurance restrictions distracting. Although these issues surface daily, MEDEX Northwest graduates do not find them major obstacles to their jobs.
