Admissions Timeline for 2012 / 2013
Summer 2012
- Information Sessions throughout the WWAMI Region (dates are posted on the MEDEX website)
- Online CASPA Application available in May 2012. Start collecting references, original transcripts and other
important documents.
- MEDEX Supplemental application available on- line May 15 through October 1st, 2012.
Fall 2012
- September 1st, 2012 – early application deadline
- CASPA offers a reduced fee for applicants applying before September 1st. Getting both your CASPA
and MEDEX applications submitted early triggers the initial review phase of the admissions process. The
earlier
we receive your application, the more time we will have to process and verify the information you submit.
- October 1st, 2012 – final application deadline
- The on-line MEDEX Supplemental Application is due for submission.
- Online CASPA application including references and transcripts are due for submission.
Applying to the UW in 2012 /2013
- DO NOT APPLY to the University of Washington before applying to the MEDEX Program.
- Information regarding when to apply to the University of Washington Graduate school for all applicants applying
to the Master of Clinical Health Services Degree option will be available upon acceptance to the MEDEX program.
- Applicants applying to Bachelor of Clinical Health Services degree option will apply to the University of Washington in February 2013. More information regarding apply to the UW will be provided upon acceptance to the
MEDEX program.
Winter 2012/2013
- After initial review, MEDEX will invite applicants for interviews via e-mail or regular mail from November through January. You will need to RSVP and your interview date cannot be changed.
- Interviews dates have not yet been determined but typically begin in October and conclude in January.
Spring 2013
- If accepted to the MEDEX Program, all newly accepted students will begin an online A&P refresher course in March. Previous students have found this course quite time intensive, although you can continue your regular work and family routines. This is not an optional course but is required. Please understand that this is the first part of the didactic year.
Summer 2013
- In June-August 2013 students from all sites will come to Seattle to attend Summer Quarter A&P and Basic Sciences review.
