After collecting the wish lists from the pediatric training sites, WWAMI leadership reviews requests, limits the number of requests of any specific specialty. Other considerations in reviewing requests to any department, include reviewing past visits from a specialty to a training site, and availability of requested specialists by the site.

Knowing which specialties to make requests to, e-mails are created for each Department Head outlining the number of requested faculty, specific training sites and faculty names requested (if applicable), this is then sent to the Department Head for a response.

When the Department Head responds, the requests to the specific proposed Visiting Professors are made. Dialogue begins between the WWAMI Coordinator and the Visiting Professor to establish a time in their schedule that accommodates the schedule of the training site.

As the schedule begins to fill with names and dates, the annual calendar of Visiting Professors emerges and the wish list becomes the Visiting Professor annual schedule.
