Inpatient Rotations

Each weekday morning will be spent at the hospital.

Outpatient Rotations

Each weekday afternoon will spent in the Clinic, except Friday PM which is unassigned time for personal use.

Call Schedule

Call is every 4th night including weekends.

Evaluations

Clinical Performance rated by faculty (75% of grade), Final Examination (25 % of grade)
Based on patient write-ups (3 H&P’s, oral presentation and ethic discussion)
Based on final written exam

Dress Code

Dress professionally and ID must be worn. White coat looks good, is functional and provides identity; we suggest regular wear but it is not mandatory.

Helpful Hints

Pre-round on patients early; have progress notes in chart before doctor arrives; be prepared to write orders/progress notes at any time.

Discuss with the attending at beginning of hospital week for their expectations. There are several attendings with different styles and this will help your week go smoothly.
