PEDS 611P Country Doctor Free Teen Clinic
Training Site: Country Doctor Community Clinic (open to UWSOM students only)
Students attend one night per week at a free clinic for adolescents and young adults at the Country Doctor Community Clinic site. The patients seen generally have histories of inadequate health care; many are homeless or street involved. A variety of interesting medical problems are seen.

PEDS 625P Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Training Site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will manage patients with the supervision of Pediatric Emergency Medicine attending or fellow. Students will have the opportunity to manage patients with a wide spectrum of disease processes as well as learn key emergency medicine procedure skills.

PEDS 669P Neonatal Pediatrics Clerkship
Training Site: University of Washington Medical Center NICU
Students will be assigned patients, prepare management plans, and write orders in conjunction with a Pediatric Resident. Students attend high-risk deliveries in conjunction with a Pediatric Resident, Neonatal Fellow or Neonatal Attending. A student under the direct supervision of a Pediatric Resident can perform procedures necessary for patient care. Students can participate in Prenatal/Antenatal consultations with an Attending Neonatologist. Call is every 4th night.

PEDS 670P Pediatric Infectious Disease
Training Site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will perform initial consultations and then follow patients while they are hospitalized. They will evaluate patients in the ID clinic, attend teaching rounds in the microbiology and virology laboratories and participate in teaching conferences for the ID division.

PEDS 671P Pediatric Endocrinology
Training site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will see a variety of patients in the endocrinology clinic. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the inpatient Endocrinology rounds and perform consultations at the discretion of the attending.

PEDS 673P Pediatric Office Practice
Training site: Offices of Community Pediatricians
Students will see a variety of pediatric patients in a community setting including well child evaluation and acute ill child visits. Exact patient mix is at the discretion of the attending.

PEDS 675P Complementary Alternative Medicine
Training sites: Various
Clinical elective for students interested in a better understanding of CAM. Includes four different weekly clinical placements with selected CAM providers in the community: naturopathic physician chiropractor, acupuncturist, and massage therapist. Also includes a weekly two-hour seminar discussing the evidence supporting the use of alternative treatments.

PEDS 677P Pediatric Intensive Care Training site: Seattle Children’s Hospital
Students will learn how to recognize a potentially unstable critically ill patient and be able to provide immediate life saving interventions. Call is q4.

PEDS 679P Clinical Problems in Developmental Disabilities
Training site: Seattle Children's Hospital, Boyer Children's Clinic, Seattle Children's Home, Center for Human Development and Disabilities (CHDD)
Students will see a wide variety of patients in the child development clinic, high risk infant follow up clinic, neurodevelopmental clinic, autism center, birth defects clinic, plagiocephaly clinic, special pediatric dentistry clinic, genetics, ADHD clinic and fetal alcohol syndrome clinic. Students also participate in lecture and discussion series.

PEDS 681P Pediatric Genetics
Training sites: Seattle Children's Hospital, CHDD, UWMC
Students will see a variety of patients in the following clinics: Genetics Clinic, Biochemical Genetics, Skeletal Dysplasia, PKU Clinic, Cardiogenetics, Craniofacial Genetics. They will also participate in teaching conferences and journal club.

PEDS 683P Pediatric Nephrology
Training site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will be assigned patients on the inpatient service, evaluate new patients and present relevant data to attendings for discussion of treatment plans. Students will also see patients in the Renal Clinic and participate in teaching conferences and complete a series of teaching cases by the end of the rotation.

PEDS 684P Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
Training Site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will see patients in a variety of clinics (including cystic fibrosis clinic, chest clinic, sleep clinic) and perform consultations on hospitalized patients. In addition, students may evaluate inpatients and children receiving intensive care, staffed by the on-service fellow and attending.

PEDS 685P Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
Training site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will independently see a variety of patients in the outpatient clinic and will fill the role of an acting intern on the inpatient ward, supervised by the Hematology Oncology fellow and attending in both settings.

PEDS 686P Pediatric Cardiology
Training site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will spend most of their time in the Heart Center. Students will participate in the outpatient evaluation of new and returning patients. Students will also be exposed to echocardiography, cardiac catheterization and will be responsible for following surgical patients (from pre-operative evaluation, observe the surgical procedure and post-operative critical care rounds).

PEDS 691P Advanced General Pediatrics (Sub-I)
Training site: Seattle Children's Hospital
Students will care for a variety of patients on the inpatient medical service and fills the role of acting intern. Students will do three weeks of days and one week of nights.
