US News ranks Department of Pediatrics 7th in the country in America's Best Graduate Schools 2009
Dear Colleagues:
The US News and World Report lists the top academic pediatric departments
each year. Once again, your Department of Pediatrics was among the top
ten departments listed by the publication this week. We rose from 8th
place last year to a tie for 7th place this year. This reputational
survey is an indication of the respect that our faculty members hold
across the US. The University of Washington School of Medicine was also
recognized, once again, as the top primary care medical school in the
country. As a primary care department, the Department of Pediatrics
contributes significantly to this ranking as well.
I would like to extend my thanks to each of you for your commitment to excellence and professionalism in all of your activities and congratulate you on this well deserved recognition.
Sincerely,
Bruder
