Message from the Chair

Remembering Ronald J. Lemire, MD

I miss Ron. Yesterday I heard a great, funny story and for the first time since arriving in Seattle 12 years ago, I didn’t have my friend, mentor and advisor to immediately share it with. An accomplished neuroscience scholar, outstanding physician, gifted arbitrator, patient advocate, and wise counselor is no longer here, smiling in his khaki pants, fleece vest and baseball hat. Yet he will never leave the hearts of his friends at the Children’s Hospital, the University of Washington, or in the community. Ron Lemire is an irreplaceable treasure that graced everyone he touched. We all miss Ron.

- Bruder

Dr. Lemire’s family would like to invite those who knew him to join in a celebration of his life at the Museum of Flight on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m.
