Thursday April 19, 8-9:00am, Wright Auditorium: Annual Warmington Lecture. Dr. Morris from Los Angeles will be presenting Grand rounds topic "Juvenile Justice: Progress and Problems". Anyone wishing time with Dr. Morris after his lecture should contact Tom Pendergrass, Roger Meyer or Jim Owens.
Wednesday, April 25: Fellows' Research Day with keynote speaker Joseph St. Geme, MD. Come support our fellows! Oral Presentations in basic and clinical research will take place in Wright Auditorium from 7:45am-12:00pm, with poster presentations in basic and clinical research from 12:00-3:00 in G-1026. Dr. Joseph St. Geme, MD is Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center and is a nationally recognized expert in basic research and clinical treatment for pediatric infectious diseases.

Dr. Sheela Sathayanarayana's project "Is Ambient Air Pollutant Exposure Associated with Preterm and Small for Gestational Age Birth in the Puget Sound Air Basin?" has been selected for funding under the APA/AHRQ Young Investigators Grant Program. She will receive $9,996 in funding.
Dr. Mollie Greves' project "Measuring the Impact of School Physical Activity Policies: Can We Identify Best Practices Through Behavior Outcomes?" has been selected for funding under the APA Young Investigators Grant Program. She will receive $9,981 in funding.

Timothy C. Cox, PhD, was an Invited Speaker at the Keystone Symposium on Molecular Pathways in Cardiac Development and Disease (Breckenridge, Colorado, USA, January, 2007). His talk was entitled "Regeneration of the fetal heart in a model of mitochondrial respiratory chain deficiency".
