David Rawlings, MD, and colleagues published an important study in the December issue of Immunity. They identified a crucial trigger that activates a pathway in T and B cells which leads to the survival and growth of cells. "These results also may impact pharmaceutical development for other types of cancers, autoimmune diseases and various forms of transplantation where T or B cells are overproduced or overactive" said Dr. Rawlings. The study was printed in the Dec 14, 2005 edition of Immunity.
