December 14, 2005, 8:15AM-1:00PM: Launching a Successful Academic Career. the Department of Pediatrics will be offering its first annual half - day workshop entitled, "Launching a Successful Academic Career," geared towards senior (2nd and 3rd year) fellows, acting instructors and acting assistant professors. Carol Wallace was recently asked to be a Special Consultant for a grant review panel for the National Eye Institute.
Maida Chen, MD, MPH, Pulmonary, received a QI Research Grant for "Predictive Values of Pre-polysomnography Questionnaires"
Debra Friedman, MD, received notice of funding of one of only four Lance Armstrong Foundation Cancer Survivorship Centers in the U.S. This Center in the SCCA will serve as a clinical and research resource for the entire Northwest.
