September 1, 2005- December 1, 2005 8:00 p.m. EST: Starting Thursday, September 1, 2005, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will begin accepting applications for its five Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs). All applications for 2006 awards must be submitted online by 8:00 p.m. EST, December 1, 2005. Fall Faculty Meeting

October 17, 5:30pm Sound Cafe: Fall Faculty Meeting. Dean Ramsey will be visiting with faculty and answering questions about the UW School of Medicine. Faculty News

Sam Moskowitz, MD has been chosen as the recipient of one of the two 2005 Young Investigator Awards given by the GCRC for outstanding new clinical researchers at the UW and CHRMC.

Phillip Chance, MD has been re-appointed to the Medical Advisory Committee of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, National headquarters, Tucson, and Chairman of the Scientific Review Committee, The Les Turner ALS Association, Chicago.

Craig Bennett, PhD has received a new research grant, "CMT1C: possible defects in PMP22 regulation due to SIMPLE mutations, 7/01/05-6/30/08 from the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
