Resident Applicant Interviews

Beginning October 22, we will begin visits from outstanding medical students who are applying for our pediatric residency program. Please assist our residency program by being available for interviews. Your evaluations, input, and recruitment skills will be important, as we again attract the best students to our pediatric internship program. Thank you in advance.

Faculty Meeting

The faculty meeting on October 18, 2004 was the most successful of our seven-year evening faculty meeting program. 116 individuals participated. A special thanks goes to Tom Pendergrass, MD, Director of Medical Education, and Fred Rivara, MD, Vice Chair for Academic Affairs, who organized this exceptional program. Thanks also to Christine Gleason, MD, Dimitri Christakis, MD, MPH, Heather McPhillips, MD, MPH and Sherilyn Smith, MD, for their leadership and outstanding presentations. The initiation of faculty development programs and a department wide mentoring program are the result of input from the faculty and last year's faculty strategic planning process. We look forward to seeing the inevitable success of these important efforts.
